LIFESTEAL PRISON RULES
Do not abuse safezones (pvp safe areas). i.e. Don't keep going in/out of safezones, attempting to attack players but then run to a safezone once you fear you're losing the battle. Such is life in prison, don't pick fights or talk smack if you can't back it up ;)
Obey staff members at all times. We allow staff to use their own discretion therefore if a staff member doesn't like something you're doing please obey their wishes. Even if it's not spelled out in these rules. Sometimes you might get a strict staff member, other times a laid back staff member. Such is life 😛
Do not escalate situations and create drama. If you feel unjustified in something, including with staff members please report it to us. You can use the ingame /report command, our website forums (#oldschool) or our Discord server. Please follow that order of reporting.
Please report any bugs including bugs/glitches/exploits. Like item duping etc. We have an easy to fill out form setup for this here: https://fngnation.net/bugs/ If your report is deemed critical you just might be rewarded 😉
We attempt to broadcast every time a player uses our "store" to make a donation. When this happens we try to spread the joy and help balance things out. We might do a drop part, we might give a random user a donor rank- either temp or permanent, etc.
Being a prisoner really feels like being a prisoner. There is no "easy road" within the prison. There's always danger around every corner. There's no easy-to-use warp points, no shop menu to easily and safely sell your mined blocks etc. There's also not much beauty within the prison, by design. You're in prison not on a holiday retreat! Do not complain about this.
You are not allowed to equip armor or use any weapon or tool above IRON. So no diamond, netherite etc. While we take precautions to prevent this there might be exploits possible to circumvent these restrictions but... BE FOREWARNED: There are serious ramifications if you repeatedly abuse or circumvent these restrictions. Not just on a roleplay prisoner level but quite possibly being kicked/banned from the server entirely.
The standard issue prisoner pickaxe is unbreakable while you're a prisoner. We recommend using this for mining. As it will never break plus it'll keep track of how many blocks you've mined with it. If you ever lose this pickaxe don't be worried. It can always be replaced by using the /kits command. The prisoner kit includes an Iron Prisoner Pickaxe, an Iron Sword and an Iron Axe.
Once you are paroled you will be teleported to the free world. There you can play like any normal lifesteal smp. You may not return to the prison at all once paroled. Upon death if you find yourself at the prison spawn point please execute the /spawn command to go to the freeworld spawn point. DO NOT CONTINUE TO WONDER AROUND THE PRISON! In future updates we will implement a prestige system which will allow you to become a prisoner again and force you to rankup and earn your freedom once again. In future updates we will also add the ability for paroled players to come visit inmates within the prison in a visitation area. Until then: do not attempt to "break into" the prison or come back to it at any point, without an admin authorization to do so!
DO NOT ASK FOR OP OR TO BE A STAFF MEMBER! DO NOT ASK IF YOU CAN BE A BUILDER FOR THE SERVER. ETC. IF YOU SUBMIT A STAFF APPLICATION DO NOT ASK FOR THE STATUS OF YOUR STAFF APPLICATION! THESE KIND OF REQUESTS WILL BE IGNORED! YOU WILL BE BANNED/KICKED IF YOU BECOME ANNOYING ABOUT IT. We have a staff application setup for this reason, located here: https://fngnation.net/apply/ Fill out the application, that's all there is to it. Do not ask for a status update on your staff application either! We will see it, we will take our own time and due diligence to review it.
